Jean Bousquet was born in France in 1948 and is a third generation member of a wine-making family from the southern city of Carcassonne. In 1990 Jean Bousquet became acquainted with the vineyards in Mendoza, Argentina, where he found exceptional characteristics of the region; the soil, relatively high altitudes and the terroir. In 1997, convinced he had found an ideal location for wine making, Jean Bousquet bought some land and moved to the Tupungato Valley in the foothills of the Andes Mountains. Combining the know-how of the European Master Wine Maker with the exceptional climate and terroir of this region in Mendoza has resulted in extraordinary red wines that have excellent colour, rich fruit character, good structure, mature grape tannins and good balance of natural acidity and sugar. The organically grown grapes develop pefectly ripe skins and the wines are enjoyable earlier in their maturation cycle while maintaining excellent structure for longer-term aging. Jean Bousquet's wines have been acclaimed by the international wine press and are sold in more than 30 countries around the World; we are delighted to be able to offer them to our customers.
